After years of anticipation, Trump International Hotel(tm) Waikiki Beach Walk(r) welcomed its first hotel guests this morning.  Following a traditional Hawaiian blessing in the 6th floor Lobby, the first guests were welcomed by the Trump Hotel Collection management team and representatives of Irongate AZREP BW LLC with the warm aloha spirit. 

This morning’s soft opening will be followed in the New Year with a Grand Opening celebration.

Irongate AZREP BW LLC hosted an event with Donald Trump Jr. on August 11, 2009.  Over 300 people attended the evening to celebrate the approaching opening of Trump International Hotel & Tower(r) Waikiki Beach Walk(r).

As demonstrated in this photograph of the elevator lobby on the 8th floor, the construction crews are making great headway on the interior finishes at Trump International Hotel & Tower(r) Waikiki Beach Walk(r).  The wall below is made of individual one-inch squares cut from the shell of a coconut.

HOMEOWNER INSPECTIONS

Interior construction of the building is taking shape quickly; the lower floor residences are now complete and the general contractor is making their way to the top of the building with cabinets, counter tops, flooring and appliances.

Homeowner Inspections began on the 9th floor the week of April 13th.  We encourage you to book your inspection with Brett Hill Management.  Please call Faith at 808-593-1500 extension 6. So far, the homeowners that have come to inspect their residences have been very pleased with what they have seen.  It will be worth the visit!

For those of you already scheduled, please be aware of construction requirements that mandate visitors wear close-toed shoes (no flip-flops), short-sleeved shirts (no tank tops), and long pants (no shorts).

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

As you can see from the current photos below of Trump Tower Waikiki, construction of your new home is progressing on schedule. The building is topped off (meaning the roof is in place) and the team is making great progress with interior and exterior detail work: lanai railings and windows to the 35th story are in place, the interior walls and framing to the 33rd story have been completed, and the kitchen counters, tiles, and appliances to the 21st story have been installed. The locals are raving that the building looks fantastic!

We are delighted to share with you the progress being made on the construction of Trump Tower Waikiki. The vision of this luxury property is beginning to take shape and we look forward to keeping you apprised of future construction progress through more updates as we approach completion.

• The building is taking shape as we are now poured up to the 6th floor and have started formwork on the 7th floor.  We are targeting to top off with the concrete structural work by January 09.
• For you sunbathers and pool-dippers, the structural pool deck and vault is complete and pool construction will start early 2009.
• The offsite intersection of Kailua Road & Saratoga Road and sidewalk improvement work will be starting early in 2008.
• Interior build-outs will start as early as March 2008 and aim for completion in August 2009. The Acquisitions group has already issued the interior specifications for bid to finalize the purchase orders.
• The project team has just returned from China and Italy where cabinets and stonework contracts have been secured.  These materials are expected to show up on site in March 2008
